The brief/
A label system for a small estate whose vintages change more often than its winemaker.
Sela makes six wines a year from one hillside. The labels needed to change with the vintage and stay recognisable on the shelf.
The challenge
A different designer every vintage meant a different bottle every year.
The response
A fixed label architecture with a variable band for each vintage, letterpress on cotton stock, and a colour drawn from the soil of each parcel.
